HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL OPTIONS

Agility, Strength, Conditioning, & Nutrition

For girls in 6 th – 11 th grade who are looking to increase speed, agility and strength as we head into the high school season utilizing isometrics, circuits, and cardio. This daily 1.25 hour session will also have a nutrition education component to it. ($80 for month long session)

 

Times: Monday-Thursday 10:15 – 11:30 AM High School Activity Center, Courts 3 and 6

 

JUNE Session dates: June 8, 9, 10, and 11 June 15, 16, 17*, and 18 June, 22, 23, 24, and 25

*June 17 will be held at MSE

 

High School Skills and Competition

For girls in 8 th -11 th grade who plan to try out at the high school. Girls in 7 th grade who would like to register please email: stmahsvolleyball@gmail.com. This will involve fast-paced skill training, system training, serve/serve-receive skills, defense, offense, and competition. ($60 per session). 

 

Times (all sessions):

Monday-Thursday 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM High School Activity Center, Courts 2, 3, 5, & 6

Session 4: June 29, 30, July 1, & 2 NO CAMPS WEEK OF JULY 6-9

Session 5: July 13, 14, 15, and 16

Session 6: July 20, 21, 22, and 23

 

Middle School Skills and Competition

For girls and boys in 5 th (with experience), 6 th ,& 7 th grade. Girls and boys in 5 th grade that have JO/YDT Extended experience may also register. This series will focus on skill development and basic systems, as well as competition. ($60)

 

Times (June sessions): Monday-Thursday 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM High School Activity Center, Courts 2, 3, 5 and 6

 

JUNE Session dates: Session 1: June 8, 9, 10, and 11

Session 2: June 15, 16, 17*, and 18

Session 3: June, 22, 23, 24, and 25 *June 17 will be held at MSE

 

Times (July sessions): SPACES LIMITED (30) Monday-Thursday 10:15 AM – 11:30 AM High School Activity Center, Courts 3 and 6

 

JULY Session dates (limited spaces available, 30):

Session 4: June 29, 30, July 1, & 2 NO CAMPS WEEK OF JULY 6-9

Session 5: July 13, 14, 15, and 16

Session 6: July 20, 21, 22, and 23

 

Middle School Setter Training

For girls and boys in 5th (with JO experience), 6 th , or 7 th grade. Spaces will be limited (15). This series will focus on footwork, skill development and high repetition. ($60)

Times (all sessions): Monday-Thursday 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM High School Activity Center, Courts 2.

Session 4: June 29, 30, July 1, & 2 NO CAMPS WEEK OF JULY 6-9

Summer Camp Youth Options

 

Volley Tots (K-2)

A week long session for girls and boys K through 2 nd grade. Participants will learn fundamental volleyball skills and game fundamentals in a fun environment. ($40 per session)

 

Times (both sessions): Monday- Thursday 10:15AM – 11:30AM High School Activity Center, Courts 2 & 5

 

June Session dates: June 8, 9, 10, and 11

July Session dates: June 29, 30, 1, and 2

 

Youth Skill Development (Grades 2-5)

A week long session for girls and boys 2nd (with experience) through 5 th grade. Participants will learn fundamental volleyball skills and game fundamentals in a faster paced, fun environment. ($40 per session)

 

Times (all sessions): Monday-Thursday 10:15 AM – 11:30 AM High School Activity Center, Courts 2, 3, and 6 Session dates:

 

Session 2: June 15, 16, 17*, and 18

Session 3: June 22, 23, 24, and 25 

Session 5: July 13, 14, 15, and 16

STMA FAMILY DISCOUNT FOR SUMMER CAMPS

Families and family support are the strength of our program. Volleyball is a sport that can be learned and enjoyed by all (boys and girls) young and old. Family discounts will be determined by maximum amount for 1st player, 2nd player cost will be half, additional players fees will be waived. Due to our online registration, please register all of your players, email ​stmahsvolleyball@gmail.com,​  the discounted price will be emailed to you, and will be applied to your balance due and collected on the first day of camp.

STMA JO MISSION STATEMENT

STMA JO's program is committed to the development and promotion of  volleyball within the St Michael - Albertville area.  The program provides an opportunity for player ages 10 through 18 to play volleyball year round, thus allowing them to learn new skills and develop skills already acquired.  The goals of STMA JO's coaches goes further than just teaching volleyball skills, but includes teaching important life skills such as responsibility and teamwork.  The program also emphasizes the importance of good sportsmanship, teamwork, and individual achievements within a fun, competitive, and safe environment.




YDT: What we are about

 

This program is designed to introduce volleyball to players in 1st thru 6th grade.  Our Goal as a Youth Development Program is to provide the opportunity for players to experience the sport of volleyball at a beginning level.  They will be provided with the skills, knowledge and understanding of the game to the best of their ability.  Teamwork and other life skills will also be taught.  They will be challenged to improve their skill level and to try new techniques that will enable them to perfom to the best of their ability.
